Antonius Regains Lead with Tuesday Session
By durrrr Challenge | Posted on August 25, 2009
Patrik Antonius and durrrr put in some serious time at the Challenge tables Tuesday evening with a session that lasted for nearly four hours and logged a total of 1,241 hands. Antonius’ upswing from Monday continued once again and, at one point, Patrik had nearly $1 million spread across the four Challenge tables. By the end of the day, durrrr‘s $750K he held for the past two months was erased completely and Antonius took the overall lead by a margin of $76,104. At the conclusion of play on Tuesday, the two players have racked up a total of 22,683 hands.
During the session Antonius had an even larger lead thanks to some big hands in which he flopped a set of kings to durrrr‘s set of threes and also got it all-in with a flopped straight to durrrr‘s set and bigger straight draw and his hand held up. Thanks to these coolers and some quality play on his part, he earned $415,311.50 on the day—even more of a profit than he picked up on Monday.
Durrrr was able to cut into Patrik’s winnings in the biggest pot of the night. After a series of five preflop raises the two got it all-in on a Q-9-2 board with Patrik holding A-A-K-2 to durrrr‘s 9-7-5-3. While durrrr‘s dry pair of nines appeared to be in bad shape on the flop, a 3 on the turn made a second pair for durrrr, which held to give him the $229,558.50 pot and recoup some of his losses on the day.

It’s funny how this site tries to make every hand Patrik wins a ‘cooler’ and every hand durrrr wins complete skill.

Oh does Durrr call three bets preflop. then hit second pair on a two flushed board with no draw except to trip up or hit two pair and calls an all in bet….and wins. Does this seem weak to anybody else.

Seems like a pretty straight forward recount of play to me.
Nice to see them both back in action.

@Mark: To be fair, durrrr got it in as a 62% favorite, so you can’t say that Patrik won by skill.

Good skill when drrrr shoved the flop with middle pair + nothing vs P.A. ovrpair.

in that ‘cooler’ hand durrr had about 65% so dont exaggerate mark..
this site is great, keep up the good work.
