Just over a week after reigniting the Challenge by putting in some serious hours, durrrr and Patrik Antonius were back at it again this morning, playing for about 90 minutes. At the conclusion of their last session, Antonius had erased durrrr’s $750K advantage and put himself in the lead by $76,104. On this day though, durrrr was able to gain back some momentum.
Early on, and in what would be the biggest pot of the brief battle, durrrr was able to cut into Patrik’s lead. After opening his button, durrrr flatted Antonius’ 3-bet and both players saw the flop come down 5-4-T. When Patrik put in a hefty pot-committing check-raise, durrrr decided to ship it in and the two players tabled their hands. Antonius’ K-K-9-T was essentially flipping with durrrr’s 8-8-6-3, but when the board ran 6-8, durrrr scooped the $107,987 pot. Some 450 hands later when they called it quits, durrrr had knocked Patrik’s lead down to just $34,143.
