Patrik Antonius: No Books, No Coach, No Problems
By durrrr Challenge | Posted on May 04, 2009
In this week’s episode of GSN’s High Stakes Poker, viewers were granted a unique look at Durrrr Challenge participant Patrik Antonius’ poker background. Its contents may shock you! In a short feature, he explained, “No one has ever taught me a single thing about poker. I’ve never read a book, not a single page. I’ve never taken a lesson from anyone. It’s very good to play to figure out yourself. You have to use your own imagination, think all of the situations through, and [determine] what would be the best options. When you make mistakes, you try to remember those and not make them again.”
The result: One of the most successful and popular poker players in the world battling for a $1.5 million payday against Tom “durrrr” Dwan.

Are there any rules to this challenge? For example. If either player is up by a big margin, say 500k, or so, and they’ve played like 48000 hands, in theory the player with the lead could just fold every hand and take the loss of all those big blinds. This obviously doesn’t show much etiquette, but why not do it?

500K
200+400= 600(*1000) =600.000

at 200/400, being up 500k wont be enough. For 2000 hands left to play he would have to be up more than 600k. At this point it would be very hard for the winning player to lose if he plays cautious.

But the losing player will of course play a bit reckless
