Patrik Keeps the Lead

Challenge play has finally crossed the 10,000 hand milestone with a session that ran from 4:45AM ET until shortly after 7AM Thursday morning. Patrik and durrrr put in another 890 hands this morning, bringing the grand total of hands played to 10,180.

At the conclusion of today’s session, the players’ wins and losses remained virtually identical to yesterday. durrrr picked up a whopping $1,243.50 in profit today, or, to put it another way, three big blinds. What is really surprising about that number is that today boasted the two biggest pots of the Challenge to date. Patrik picked up one pot worth $229K and durrrr took down his own monster pot for $292K shortly after that.

There is a rule in place that allows the players to move to a new table if the stacks get too big, but the enormous pots today seem to suggest that neither durrrr or Patrik are taking advantage of that stipulation. If the deep stacked play continues, we can probably expect some more $200K+ pots in the future.
