Even though summer isn’t over just yet, it appears as though Patrik Antonius and durrrr are back at the grind after a lengthy vacation from Challenge play. Maybe it is because summer is winding down, maybe it is because durrrr‘s got some extra cash on hand thanks to action from the mysterious “martonas”. Who knows? What we do know is that the two high stakes pros put in a two and a half hour session this afternoon in which the momentum swung back Patrik’s way as he picked up nearly $400,000 on the day.

Play resumed at around 11:30AM ET and continued until just before 2PM. Over the course of the session the duo put in 795 hands, most of which went Antonius’ way as he picked up a total of $392,347.50 on the day. His big win cut durrrr‘s overall challenge lead in half and he is now up on Patrik by $344,900 total. While that is still a decent lead over his opponent, today’s match reminds us just how quickly the tides can turn in the game of PLO.

This morning’s session brings the total number of Challenge hands played to 21,442. The halfway mark is slowly approaching and, if the chat box is any indication, we might see a renewed interest in Challenge play.
