Tom Dwan May Lose $1 Million in WSOP Main Event Prop Bet

With action non-existent in the Tom “durrrr” Dwan Million Dollar Challenge, the fiery youngster seems to have satisfied his gambling itch by prop betting with Full Tilt Poker pro Phil Ivey. According to mlive.com, a Michigan-area news outlet, Ivey stands to collect $1 million from Dwan if he wins the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. Ivey, of course, is one of this year’s November Nine and will enter the final table in three months with the seventh largest chip stack. Here’s a look at how the field shapes up:

1. Darvin Moon – 58,930,000
2. Eric Buchman – 34,800,000
3. Steven Begleiter – 29,885,000
4. Jeff Shulman – 19,580,000
5. Joe Cada – 13,215,000
6. Kevin Schaffel – 12,390,000
7. Phil Ivey – 9,765,000
8. Antoine Saout – 9,500,000
9. James Akenhead – 6,800,000

Full Tilt Poker pro Andy Bloch will see his bank account drop by $2 million if Ivey wins the Main Event. According to mlive.com, Bloch gave Ivey 99:1 odds with 2,400 players to go. While you or I would probably throw down $1 or $10 on a bet like that, Bloch posted $20,000.

It’s been seven weeks since our last action in the Million Dollar Challenge. The boys are 40% of the way through the 50,000 hand extravaganza. When the action resumes, we’ll bring it to you right here on DurrrrChallenge.com.
