Tuesday Session Recap
By durrrr Challenge | Posted on May 13, 2009
Patrik and durrrr put in a short session last night that lasted from 11PM ET until right around midnight. Over that short period they logged 310 hands and durrrr was able to book a much-needed win to compensate for some of the big losses he suffered in the May 4th session. Patrik still holds the overall lead with $391,704 in total profit, but it was durrrr who walked away the winner yesterday. He managed to take $96,358 off Antonius yesterday thanks to some solid play and big pots that went his way.
13,556 of the 50,000 Challenge hands are now in the books and the deadline for our prediction contest is right around the corner. Get yours in before it is too late! It remains to be seen when or if the Challenge will come to an end, especially with the World Series of Poker just around the corner, but we’ll keep you posted on all the latest news and hands so keep checking in.

Hello Durr,
I enjoy your creative play. It works stronger in the omaha. I noticed with your play you like to put the 3 bet in late postion to take control. My question is do you like a continuation bet with a over pair or you prefer the with a big draw. I try to mix it up. But I catch myself getting real weak with AA rags. What is a good play here.
Thank You, Daniel

Hey Daniel,
Started playing Omaha regulary some times ago. Im still in low limits, so Im not a master like Mr. Dwan.
But:
If you took control of the pot by three betting preflog, you try to get heads up (normally). If you have only a naked overpair after flop, you only should conti bet if you got heads up AND you wouldnt commit into the pot. Onliest exception is, when you play vs. a rock, then you always conti bet. But there aint that much rocks in Omaha…
Otherwise you should wait for top set or huge draws if you conti bet.
Texas Dolly would say something like: I never would bluff more than one opponent if I dont have some nut outs.
Maybe you care for my opinion too.

Yes, you can mix it up. I find myself liking the overbet on the flop more and more. You’d be surprised how often you will get called by weak hands because they think you are bluffing. So try betting 3 or 4x pot occasionally and watch the money roll in.
