The Durrrr Challenge appears to be picking up the pace – certainly a welcome change – as Tom Dwan and Patrik Antonius took to the felt for the second time in as many days. In case you missed it, Antonius cut into durrrr’s lead by 58K when the two world class players logged 1200 hands less than 24 hours ago. Earlier today, they played a small session that lasted three hours and 892 hands, and this time, it was durrrr who came out on top. Dwan, who weathered the storm nicely yesterday considering Patrik’s run of cards, scooped a few nice pots and ended the session up $199,442, which increases his overall lead to $1,077,932.50.
While this year’s action has not been quite as furious as it has been in the past, it’s definitely nice to see Tom and Patrik playing on a regular basis, and they seem to be on track to finish the challenge by mid-2010.
